Can students apply for the SSP Scholarship 2025–26 without a USN number?

What Is USN (University Registration Number)?

The USN is a registration number issued by the university. It proves that the student has been admitted to a university or college. The USN number is different from the college and admission number.

It automatically fills your name, course, and other educational details in the application form. That is why it is mandatory. Without it, you cannot verify your educational information.

How to Access USN Number

Log in to the SSP Portal with your details. Click on the college details section.
Select the university in which you are studying.
Select the course type: UG, PG, Diploma, IIT, PUC.
Enter the University / Board registration number in the given field.
Now, click on the Get Data button to view the result.

What Happens If USN Is Not Entered

The application does not move forward until you submit your USN number. The portal works automatically and receives your education data from the university or board. If the USN is left empty or entered incorrectly, the system fails to match the data.

Secondly, the system shows an error message. It clearly informs you that you have entered the wrong registration number. In this case, your application is not completed.

What Should Students Do If USN Is Not Issued Yet?

The first step is to contact your college office directly. Do not depend on anyone else. The college office is the only source where you can get accurate information.
